English: Charro — a term referring to jinete (horseman) proficient at skirmishing and rapid maneuvers, traditional equestrians from México.
- The terms Vaquero (cowboy) and Ranchero (rancher) are similar, but different in culture, etiquette, mannerism, clothing, tradition and social status.
- Originating in the central and western regions of Mexico — primarily in the states of: Jalisco, Michoacán, Zacatecas, Durango, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Morelos, Puebla, and Guerrero.
