
Colombian band Cimarron will bring the rhythm of joropo to 18 theaters in Japan on a tour that will take place from November 7 to December 7. This tour will allow joropo, a traditional genre from the Eastern Plains and Venezuela, to resonate in cities like Tokyo, Fukushima, Osaka, and Nagasaki.
Cimarron, internationally recognized for its commitment to preserving and promoting llanero culture, will perform in theaters with an average capacity of 2,500 people, where joropo will be the star. This tour provides a unique opportunity for the Japanese audience to experience the richness of traditional Colombian music.

This Colombian-Venezuelan musical group, originating from the Llanos region, was founded in 2000 in Bogota under the direction of Carlos Rojas and Ana Veydo. Over the years, Cimarron has solidified its recognition on the international stage through participation in major festivals and concert halls such as the WOMAD Festival, Newport Folk Festival, and the National Grand Theater of China. With a trajectory that includes performances in over 40 countries across Europe, Asia, the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East, Cimarron has become an ambassador for llanero music worldwide. They have also been nominated for Grammy and Latin Grammy awards and won the Songlines Music Award in the United Kingdom in the Best Group category.
