Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi was captured on camera saving a woman off the ledge of a bridge in Nashville.
The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer was seen helping to coax the woman, whose identity remains unknown, back over the railing on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department reported that the event occurred Tuesday night while the 62-year-old was filming a music video on the bridge.

A video shared by the police department shows Bon Jovi and his crew at the scene when the woman was dangerously positioned over the Cumberland River.
In the footage, Bon Jovi leans over the railing, gradually moves closer to the woman, and pulls her to safety, embracing her afterward. Bon Jovi, along with others, spoke with her, helping her return to safety, police said. “It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” said Nashville Police Chief John Drake in a brief statement.
Officers arrived at the scene, and Chief Drake praised the musician’s actions. The department later posted on social media, saying, “A shout out to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for assisting a woman in Nashville on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge Tuesday night. Bon Jovi helped convince her to step off the ledge over the Cumberland River.”
Bon Jovi, who formed his band in 1983, has sold more than 120 million records worldwide.
In an interview with People earlier this year, he shared that he is gradually returning to live performances after undergoing a rare throat surgery in June 2022.
At the opening of a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit dedicated to his band, Bon Jovi was asked about his vocal recovery following the release of their latest album, Forever, which came out on June 7. “I guess I am,” he told the outlet. “Step by step, I’m getting back to it.” He added that the band performed in Nashville the night before, noting, “Everything was very good.”
Bon Jovi has released 15 studio albums with his band and two solo albums. In addition to music, he has acted in films such as Moonlight and Valentino, Pay It Forward, and U-571, as well as appearing on TV shows like Sex and the City, 30 Rock, and The West Wing.
