"What Did We Do This Summer"
Thank you to everyone who registered to attend the 15th Urban Heat Island (UHI) Workshop hosted by The City of Tucson’s Landscape Advisory Committee (LAC) in collaboration with University of Arizona CLIMAS.
This summer 2024, had record high temperatures, with over 105 days of temperatures of 100°F or higher (National Weather Service); heat relief strategies implemented by multi-jurisdictional and partner collaborations resulted in expanded heat relief resources throughout the region.
