For this round, we'll be using Dreamwidth itself as a challenge. Icons are often used to reflect the mood of an individual post. Refer to the list of DW moods here and create at least 10 icons. You may get creative with the selection (for example concentrate on 'darker' moods only) or pick them at random, it's absolutely your call.

Chromicons Seven Week Icon Challenge!!

Looking for a fun, easy, no pressure icon challenge?
Here we go again!

Basic Info:

There will be seven weekly challenges.

Participants will then have until the end of that week to post their icons to the community.
- A minimum of ten icons to successfully fill a round.
  - EVERY SINGLE ICON in the set has to feature a person/character of color.
  - There is no maximum amount of icons per round.

Extra chromicons love: ICON TUTORIALS.
- If you'd like to share how you made one of your awesome icons, go for it!
  - (examples: the tutorial fest at smallbatchicons & icon_tutorial)
- Minimum information for a tutorial:
  - Program used (GIMP, Photoshop, MS Paint, etc)
  - Method (a step by step instruction, example 1, example 2)
    - A tutorial doesn't have to be long to be informative but it can be if you prefer it like that.
- Please post the tutorial in the same entry you posted your submission, after the icon set.

Timeline:

Respective to each round, participants may post at any time within the following dates (sincerely hoping I did the math right):

Round 1: Oct 3rd - Oct 9th
Round 2: Oct 10th - Oct 16th

Chromicons Seven Week Icon Challenge!!

Looking for a fun, easy, no pressure icon challenge?
Here we go again!

The rules have been tweaked since the last challenge, so read carefully :)

Basic Info:

There will be seven weekly challenges.

Participants will then have until the end of that week to post their icons to the community.
- A minimum of ten icons to successfully fill a round.
  - EVERY SINGLE ICON in the set has to feature a person/character of color.
  - There is no maximum amount of icons per round.

Extra chromicons love: ICON TUTORIALS.
- If you'd like to share how you made one of your awesome icons, go for it!
  - (examples: the tutorial fest at smallbatchicons & icon_tutorial)
- Minimum information for a tutorial:
  - Program used (GIMP, Photoshop, MS Paint, etc)
  - Method (a step by step instruction, example 1, example 2)
    - A tutorial doesn't have to be long to be informative but it can be if you prefer it like that.
- Please post the tutorial in the same entry you posted your submission, after the icon set.

Timeline:

Respective to each round, participants may post at any time within the following dates (sincerely hoping I did the math right):

Round 7 is our final round and as such I'm letting you go crazy with it and use it as a last chance to get some points :)

Lucky 7 Challenge:
There's nothing really lucky about it but the idea is that you can receive up to twenty icon making points for this challenge. For every icon you make, you get a point- but only up to twenty points (and of course you can make 20+ icons if you'd like). The very itsy bitsy catch is that you have to base your theme from any of the past challenges, Round 1-Round 6. Tutorials will still be worth five points so really, the max accrued points here is 25! Yay!

This is a great way to play catch-up or have a go at a round you missed or would like to re-do, and there are DW points up for grabs, everyone. When this round closes next week, I'll figure out the DW points distribution depending on how many points total I have stocked up :)

The Character Challenge:
At least 10 icons fulfilling each of the following prompts with a character of color.

Get creative! Your icon doesn't have to be canon, i.e you can frame the character as both a villain or a hero depending on the screencap choice, textures, cropping, etc. Though the focus is on one character, you can have other people in the icon, just that all your icons have to be about the same one character.
