Submissions give us information that we use to analyse legal markets and produce our rankings. A submission includes information about the legal matters handled by a department, firm or set over the review period. It also details the key members of a particular department, firm or set and the key clients they represent. In short, it is your chance to demonstrate why your firm or set should be ranked.

There are two alternative ways of submitting to Chambers.

You can submit by downloading and completing our submission template and referee spreadsheet, found here.

https://chambers.com/info/submissions

We have also recently introduced a new online submission option. This is a digital platform which allows you to create, update and submit via MyAccount.

Both ways of submitting ensure that you provide us with the information we need and allow us to process the information quickly.

"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"What is a referee spreadsheet?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"

We ask for a list of referees who we could contact to collect their feedback about the firm's work. This allows us to learn what makes your firm stand out in the market.

The referee spreadsheet can be found here. Please include no more than 20 referees per practice area unless you are submitting to Chambers USA, Canada or Chambers UK Bar. Our Chambers USA and Chambers Canada referee limit is now 30 per practice area. The UK Bar remains five referees per individual barrister per practice area.

"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Who should be the contact for arranging interviews on my submission?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"

We recommend providing a contact for arranging interviews. This person should be someone our research team can get in contact with if they would like to speak to some lawyers from the team to gather more information about your department and your team’s feedback on our rankings.

"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"What are work highlights and why provide them?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"

Work highlights allow you to add information about legal matters this department, firm or set has advised on over the review period. Work highlights include a description of the nature of the legal work, the team members from the relevant department(s) involved, and other organisations advising on the matter. The idea of work highlights is to communicate to Chambers what the relevant team did and why it was significant. Work highlights can be submitted as publishable or confidential.
"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Does Chambers use the publishable and confidential matters in my submission differently?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"

You must tell us whether a work highlight is confidential or publishable. If your highlight is something which you do not want Chambers to write about or reference on our website once the rankings are published, you should include it in the ‘Confidential’ section of your submission.
Alternatively, if the work highlight is public knowledge, or can be discussed and referenced publicly on the Chambers website, you can include it in the ‘Publishable’ section of your submission. This will tell our researchers that they can write about this work highlight when creating any commentary about your firm once the rankings are launched.

"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"How is the information I share with Chambers via my submissions protected?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"
Only those with a verified Chambers MyAccount login can access and edit submissions to Chambers. This means all information remains private and protected whether you are using the upload submissions tool or our online submissions hub.
Any need for additional logins can be requested from onboard with chambers. You can also find more information on our privacy policy on our website: https://chambers.com/info/privacy
