Now that pitmaster John Lewis is done defending brisket as legit barbecue, he can concentrate on opening meat behemoth Lewis Barbecue. The restaurant will host friends and family events this week, which means the dining room should be open to the public very, very soon.

Lewis Barbecue resides at 464 Nassau St. and will have seating for 100 inside and 200 outside. Lewis hopes for minimal wait times for brisket, since the restaurant will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
