Plot[]
Caillou learns about space.
The episode begins with Leo's mom dropping Leo off at Caillou's house. He then shows Caillou a new rocket he got. Caillou and Leo play spaceman outside and in Caillou's room. Rosie then comes in and asks to play with her bear, but Caillou says he doesn't want to, making Rosie feel left out. Then they leave his room and run around the kitchen, still playing spaceman. Grandpa reads a newspaper and finds out a new planetarium is opening tomorrow and they're having a contest for the best space costume. Mommy tells him that Caillou and Leo would be interested in it. While Caillou and Leo are still playing spaceman outside, Rosie interrupts them again to play with her bear, but Caillou says no, making her cry and running back inside the house. Mommy tells her that maybe she and her can find a game they can play together: make space costumes. As Caillou and Leo head back inside, Grandpa tells them the news about the planetarium opening tomorrow, and even tells Caillou what it is. After hearing it Caillou becomes fascinated with it and asks if they go, and Mommy tells her she doesn't seem why not. Mommy tells Leo he can come too, but she has to call his mom first. Grandpa then tells Caillou and Leo about the contest for the best space costume too. Then Grandpa makes them space costumes. Leo is a spaceman, and Caillou's costume is a space monster. Later, before bed, Caillou eats cookies and milk, and Daddy tells him that Mommy told him that he made Rosie cry today. Caillou with a sad face nods and Daddy tells him that he knows he doesn't want to always play with her but she is his sister so he'll always have to be kind to her. Caillou tells Daddy okay and Daddy tells him to finish drinking his milk because it's time for bed. As they drink them, they get milk moustaches as they wipe it off Mommy comes by and tells them both that they look like they've been to the Milky Way. Mommy then grabs the oven mitts and refuses to tell Daddy and Caillou what she's using them for.
The next day, Caillou, Leo, Daddy, and Grandpa go to the planetarium. Caillou and Leo wear their space costumes too. Melanie turns and says hi to Caillou and asks him if he likes her costume, and Caillou nods his head yes. As they enter the planetarium, the director welcomes them to the planetarium and tells them he has a game for them. He asks Caillou, Leo, and Melanie to act like they're walking on the moon and videotapes them doing it too. Just as the show starts, Mommy and Rosie arrive, then head inside while everyone watches the show. Then when they get to the moon, Caillou, Leo, and Melanie find out that the planetarium director video edited them into the moon to make it look like they're walking on it. As the show ends, the planetarium director finishes it off by giving the prize to the best space costume to both Rosie and Mommy. To Daddy's surprise, he sees Mommy used the mitts for the costume and the episode ends.
