Caillou: Coming!
Storyteller: Caillou had already taken his school bus once, but he couldn't wait to take it everyday.
Caillou: I wish I could go to school. (the doorbell rang)
Storyteller: Lucky for him, at the end of the day, he was going to get his chance.
Caillou: Hi, Sarah!
Sarah: Hi, Caillou. My class's having a little brother and sister day at school. And since I don't have either one of those....
Boris: Would you like to go to school with Sarah?
Caillou: Yes!
Boris: That sounds like a great idea.

Caillou: We forgot this. I have to bring my dinosaur to school.
Doris: I don' t think you'll need your dinosaur today, sweetie. There'll be so many things to do at school. He'll just get lonely in your bag.
Caillou: Okay. (Next day at school, this is very nervous) The school is big.
Storyteller: Caillou thought the school was very big and was that he might get lost.
Sarah:: Come on, Caillou. That's the bell (for which) we have afraid to go to assembly.
Doris: Okay, Caillou. I'll pick you up after lunch. Have a good day at school!
Storyteller: Caillou was beginning to feel a little afraid going into the school. (We are being afraid in school. He smelled like paint in here.)
Sarah: Do you want to hold my hand? You'll see, Caillou, school is a lot of fun!
Storyteller: Caillou was happy that he was going to school with Sarah. He felt like a very big boy. (Caillou is having a tour to your classroom with schoolwork.)
Caillou: Wow!
Storyteller: Caillou had never seen a classroom before. He thought it'd look like a fun place. (He has all the tables around the classroom)
Sarah: Put your backpack here. (He put the backpack in the cubby)
Caillou: Can we play ball in the classroom? (Caillou is playing red/white/blue ball inside the school to snatch it back to Sarah)
Sarah: We're not allowed to play with balls inside school.
Caillou: Where is everybody?
Sarah: They are in the gym for assembly. Come on, we have to go.
Caillou: What's an assembly?
Sarah: It's when the principal talks to us. You'll see.
Caillou: What's the gym? (They can go to the gym for assembly) Come on, Sarah! Let's play! (He climbed into the ladder)
Sarah: Caillou, we can't play now. The principal is about to speech. We have to sit down and listen.
Storyteller: Caillou didn't realized there were so many rules at school. He didn't want to sit down. He wanted to continue playing.
Sarah: We can play later on , Okay?
Caillou: Where do we sit?
'Sarah: On the floor. Like this. (She teaches Caillou to the floor) Now we have to be real quiet and listen, Okay?
Principal: Good morning, everyone and welcome! Today is a very special day and we have a lot of first timer among us...
Caillou (whispering is might go to the bathroom break):Psst... Sarah.
Sarah: Shh!
Principal: For those of you that are here with your big brothers or sisters...
Caillou: But Sarah, I really have to go to the bathroom! (But Sarah scoffed at him)
Principal: This is an extremely fun, fun filled action packed day.
Storyteller: After the bathroom was done, and the assembly was over, Caillou and Sarah went back to her classroom.(Caillou draws on a chalkboard is Caillou & Sarah)
Sarah: You're lucky today is a special day. You should really only get a write on the blackboards when the teacher asks us to. (The school bell rang)
Caillou: What was that?
Sarah: The bell for recess. (He puts the chalk away for recess. Sarah has a hopscotch to play with rock)
Caillou: I like your school, Sarah. (Caillou holds the teacher's apple)
Sarah: So do I, but I wish we had more time to play outside. (Caillou eats teacher's apple)
Storyteller: Caillou didn't understand why Sarah wanted more to play. He loved being in the classroom.
Caillou: When do we read and write?
Sarah: I don't think you'll learn all that today but we'll do a lot of fun things. (The school bell rings) Come on, recess is over!
Caillou: Already?

Caillou: A sandwich, carrots, an apple and some chocolate pudding. What do you have, Sarah?
Sarah:Fried chicken, cheese, celery and a cookie. Wanna switch? (Caillou & Sarah laughing) I like switching lunches. I don't get to do that at home. Maybe I'll have loved dessert first. (Caillou eats cookie and Sarah has chocolate pudding)
Storyteller: Caillou being at school with Sarah. He wasn't able to switch lunches with anyone at home.
Doris: So how was school, Caillou?
Caillou: I drew on the blackboard and even switched my lunch with Sarah.
Doris: Really? That sounds like fun!
Caillou: But I didn't learn how to write.
Doris: That's because you're still too young. Don't go growing up too fast, okay?
Storyteller: Caillou couldn't wait to grow up and go to school everyday. Even though Caillou wasn't quite ready for school yet, he was ready for one thing, "nap time". (Caillou sleeping in the car)
