Backyard Zoo is an episode from Season 2 of Caillou.
Plot[]
Caillou runs inside to tell Daddy that he's going to the zoo to see every animal today, while he looks at Caillou with a dirty face who laughs and Mommy looks at her watch saying that Leo, Clementine and Billy will be arriving any moment and gets Caillou ready. They arrive, but everyone but Billy get out in a bad mood. Then, Mommy asks Caillou if he's positive he doesn't need to go to the bathroom, Then Caillou goes just in case. Clementine and Leo ring the doorbell, and when Caillou answers it, Leo unfortunately says that they can't go to the zoo. Then Clementine's mom explains to Mommy that Billy has a terrible toothache and asks her if Leo and Clementine can stay with her while she takes Billy to the dentist. Mommy tells them she can. Then Clementine asks Mommy if she can take them to the zoo instead, but unfortunately, Mommy says she's got a lot of work to get done and so does Caillou's Daddy. Then Mommy gives Clementine, Leo and Caillou milk and cookies and tells them she's sorry that they can't go to the zoo and tells them they can go another time and then offers them to play outside, and they reluctantly walk outside. Caillou tells Mommy that they're bored and then Mommy suggests to help her out with the laundry, Then she hands Clementine a black and white striped shirt and says she's a zebra. Mommy puts the shirt on her and then says that maybe they didn't need to go to zoo after all and says there's "wild animals" in the backyard. Then Mommy puts a brown fuzzy sweater on Leo and he looks like a bear. But now Caillou has nothing to look like an animal because there's only socks on the clothes line. Then Mommy says to try to come up with something. Daddy comes and says he fixed the dryer and then Caillou what's wrong. Then he tells Daddy that he wants to be like an animal like Clementine and Leo is. Then Rosie shows them her turtle stuffed animal and Daddy said that's an idea. Then Caillou decides to be a turtle. Then Daddy tries to help Caillou find something that can make him a turtle but then the basket that Mommy is sitting on is perfect for a turtle shell. So Mommy puts the basket on his back and starts crawling like a turtle. Then Leo says roar and then Caillou hides in the "shell" and everyone laughs.
