Funkcija
[uredi | uredi izvor]Ovaj gen je jedan od nekoliko gena CC citokina grupiranih na p-kraku hromosoma 9. Citokini su porodica izlučenih proteina uključenih u imunoregulacijske i upalne procese. CC citokini su proteini koje karakteriziraju dva susjedna cisteina. Protein kodiran ovim genom je hemotaksijski za kožne povezane memorijske T-limfocite. CCL27 je povezan sa preusmjeravanjem memorije T-limfocita na kožu i ima ulogu u upalama kože posredovanim T-ćelijama.[7][8]
CCL27 se eksprimira u brojnim tkivima, uključujući gonade, timus, placentu i kožu. Izaziva svoje hemotaksijske efekte vezanjem za receptor za hemokine CCR10.[9] Gen za CCL27 kod ljudi nalazi se na hromosomu 9.[10] Studije sličnog mišjeg proteina ukazuju da ove interakcije protein-receptor imaju ključnu ulogu u T-ćelijama posredovanoj upali kože (prema RefSeq, Sep 2014).
