O’Sullivan & Son will host “green witch” Veronica Keddy to perform first-come, first-served readings of different lengths, prices, and tools — tarot cards, naturally, but also a pendulum, chicken feet, or teeth. At the same time, bar is offering a grisly food challenge: Finish five of the famously tall half-pound burgers, onion rings, French fries, and pickle spears to get your meal and a t-shirt free and your picture on a Hall of Fame board.

East Boston Italian restaurant Pazza on Porter is throwing two Halloween parties Saturday, October 29. The first, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., is kid-friendly, with a costume party and treats for children who dress up, a photographer taking family photos, themed pancakes, and free drinks for little ones. The second event, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., is a 21-plus costume party with prizes for the best-dressed, a DJ, and food and drink specials like pumpkin gnocchi with sage and brown butter sauce and a pumpkin-spice vodka shot.

At its West End location on Lovejoy Wharf, Night Shift Brewing is serving up a Halloween drag lunch with queens Binx, Kori King, Plane Jane, Larissa Montes, and Atlas from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 29. A $20 ticket covers entry and your first drink, including seasonal releases like Phone Home, a peanut butter porter inspired by E.T. The company’s Everett taproom is also throwing some “Owloween” events, including a costume party Saturday, October 29, and a dog costume competition Sunday, October 30.

From 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday, October 31, Allston dive bar Silhouette Lounge’s free Halloween party features a $50 gift card for best costume and a make-your-own taco bar from Amelia’s Taqueria, whose neighboring store was gutted by a fire last month. For $10, you can enter the Sil’s dart room for live music from the likes of Tyler & The Names and Meteor Police. And don’t forget: If you show up rocking a Silhouette Lounge-themed tattoo, you could also score free hot dogs for life.

Revolutionary War-themed restaurant Rebel’s Guild at the Revere Hotel downtown is channeling “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” for a five-course dinner — costumes optional — on Monday, October 31. Make a dinner reservation from 4 to 9 p.m. to partake in dishes like citrus-poached lobster and rosemary-crusted steak as well as cocktails like the Headless Horseman (Whistlepig rye, apple cider, cinnamon syrup, and Night Shift Brewing Pumpkin Piescraper), all backed by a DJ spinning tunes from 6 to 9 p.m.

You’ve got eight days of pumpkin-painting parties to pick from at Irish Fenway standby the Lansdowne Pub, which has seatings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. daily from Monday, October 24, through Monday, October 31. A $25 ticket includes materials, and you can add on seasonal cocktails like a pumpkin-spice martini and a prix fixe meal. Lansdowne is also doing costume parties with live music on Saturday, October 29, and Monday, October 31, for $10 each, and taking part in the massive Crawl-O-Ween bar crawl on October 29.

Back Bay’s Summer Shack, home of decadent seafood towers worth the splurge, is hosting two Beyoncé-themed drag dinners on Halloween, with seatings available at 5:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Monday, October 31, for $20. The restaurant is also doing four Hocus Pocus-themed drag brunches this month, but three are already sold out; at the time of writing, tickets are still available for 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29.

Shore Leave has transformed into Scare Leave for the month, outfitting its entire South End space with spoopy decorations like skeletons in inner tubes. The tropical cocktail menu has gotten a full makeover, too, with themed drinks like Ghost Town Sour (aged rum, rooibos chai, and lemon). Of course, there will be events, including karaoke 9:30 p.m. to midnight on Monday, October 31, and a John Waters-themed drag night and costume party starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, October 30.
