• Only upload images you intend to use in an article. Files uploaded and used anywhere other than in an article will likely be deleted.
  • Please use files within their appropriate contexts: images from the manga on manga-centric articles, images from anime on anime-centric articles, etc.
• PNG is preferred to other file types in most cases. However, do not worry about converting a JPG to PNG, as there is nothing to be gained in either file quality or size from doing so.
• Please try to keep files around ~500 KB if possible; consider compressing your file if necessary using an online image compressor.
  • Quality takes precedence over file size. Only compress/resize to an extent that maintains high image quality, and please consider how your file will appear in the mobile view.
• Filenames should typically adhere to the following format:

<context> <installment> <description>.png

• Refer to the following filenames for an idea of how to name your file:
  • File:Manga E88 Skull Knight Attacks Void.png
  • File:Manga E126 Falcon of Light detexted.png
  • File:Manga V42 Cover.png
  • File:Musou Guts Griffith Sketch.png
  • File:TGAA BotF Groupshot.png ("TGAA" → The Golden Age Arc film trilogy)
  • File:BIF Puck and Becchi.png ("BIF" → Berserk Illustrations File)
  • File:BVSF Blue-Gray Beherit.png ("BVSF" → Berserk Visual & Story File)
• Please fill out {{Fileinfo}} (see examples below):
  • License options include:
    • fairuse : Use this for fair use images that are not owned by Hakusensha or Konami.
    • hakusensha : Use this for most Berserk-related images, which are owned one way or another by Hakusensha.
    • konami : Use this for Berserk TCG-related images.
    • public : Use this for images that are in the public domain and not owned by any entity.
    • GFDL : Use this for images that fall under the GNU Free Documentation License.
    • LGPL : Use this for images that fall under the GNU Lesser General Public License.
    • CC-BY-NC-SA 3.0 : Use this for files that fall under the the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-ShareAlike 3.0 License.
    • CC-BY-SA 3.0 : Use this for files falling under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License.
    • MIT : Use this for images that fall under the MIT License.
  • Categories should typically include any subject categories prominently illustrated or otherwise conveyed in images.
• More simply, refer to files similar to your own and see how they are named, licensed, and categorized if you are unsure how to do so. Files that fail to adhere to the above stand a high chance of being deleted.
