Timothy was a teenaged member of the Resistance. He was in a group who chased Bartimaeus at the beginning of The Amulet of Samarkand. He could "hear" magical artifacts, the sound being something like the sound of glass chinking. When Bartimaeus' attempts to escape alerted the Night Police, the Resistance members fled, though Timothy was caught and killed.
