Sterling R. Schrock is a judge for the 5th District Court, serving Berrien County in Michigan.[1] His term ended on January 1, 2019.[2]
Education
Judge Schrock received his undergraduate degree from Northern Michigan University in 1974. He earned his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 1977.[3]
Career
Before joining the bench, Judge Schrock practiced law for 31 years. He served in the Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps after finishing law school, and then joined the Macon County, Illinois State's Attorney's office. He later became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Berrien County, Michigan. Judge Schrock went into private practice in 1988, working for two different firms until his appointment to the bench in 2008.[3]
Elections
2012 election
Schrock was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[4][5]
2010 election
Schrock was elected to the Fifth Judicial District without opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2]
