Shari R. Schluchter is a Ninth Judicial District judge for Beltrami County, Minnesota. She was appointed to this position in 2005 and was elected to a full term in 2006 and again in 2012. Her current term expires in January of 2019.

Education

Schluchter received her B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of North Dakota in 1982 and 1985, respectively.

Career

Schluchter began her legal career in 1985 as a private practice lawyer. She worked in this capacity until 1992. She also worked for the Beltrami County Attorney's Office as an Assistant (1985-90) and Chief Assistant (1990-2005) until her judicial appointment. In 1992, and from 1996 to 2005, she taught as an adjunct professor at Bemidji State University.

Elections

2012

Schluchter ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012. She received 99.35% of the vote.
