Raymond Kostrzewa is a judge on the Sixtieth Judicial District Court in Michigan. He was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder (R) on September 11, 2014, and was sworn in on October 2. He succeeded Judge Michael Nolan. Kostrzewa ran for election in 2016 in order to serve for the remainder of Nolan's term.[1][2] He won a full term in 2018.[3]
Biography
Kostrzewa received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Michigan State University and a J.D. from the University of Detroit. He worked at the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office from 1992 until 2014. He was the chief trial attorney there from 2013 to 2014. He previously worked in private practice.[1]

Kostrzewa ran for the 14th Circuit Court in 2012. He advanced from the primary election on August 7th, winning 28.16 percent of the vote. He was defeated by Annette Smedley in the general election on November 6, receiving 49.79 percent of the vote.[7]
