This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $1.5 million in order to help pay for school facility improvements, rood replacements and general improvements in the district as needed.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
Shall the Board of Education of the Oak Ridge R-VI School District, Missouri, without an estimated increase in the current debt service property tax levy, borrow money in the amount of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000) for the purpose of providing funds for the completion of various improvements to the facilities of the District featuring roof replacements; energy efficiency improvements such as doors, windows and lighting; heating ventilation and air conditioning systems; remodeling and repair improvements such as plumbing and electrical; acquisition of furnishings, computer technology, security equipment and copy machines; and to the extent funds are available to complete paving improvements; and issue bonds for the payment thereof? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the School District is estimated to remain unchanged at $0.7352 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.[3] |
