An Oak Ridge School District Bond Measure was on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the Oak Ridge school district area which is in Cape Girardeau County.

This measure was approved

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $1.5 million in order to help pay for school facility improvements, rood replacements and general improvements in the district as needed.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Board of Education of the Oak Ridge R-VI School District, Missouri, without an estimated increase in the current debt service property tax levy, borrow money in the amount of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000) for the purpose of providing funds for the completion of various improvements to the facilities of the District featuring roof replacements; energy efficiency improvements such as doors, windows and lighting; heating ventilation and air conditioning systems; remodeling and repair improvements such as plumbing and electrical; acquisition of furnishings, computer technology, security equipment and copy machines; and to the extent funds are available to complete paving improvements; and issue bonds for the payment thereof? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the School District is estimated to remain unchanged at $0.7352 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.[3]
