Michael Taylor is a judge for the Fourteenth Judicial District of Mississippi.[1] He was appointed by Governor Haley Barbour on February 3, 2005.[2][3] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins in 2015 and will expire in 2018.[4][5]

Education
Taylor received a B.A. from the University of Mississippi, going on to earn his J.D. there in 1987.[2] He was admitted to the bar that same year.[6]
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment in 2005, Taylor engaged in private practice for 15 years in Brookhaven, Mississippi and served for 10 years as a youth court referee in Lincoln County. He also gained experience as a law clerk to Michael Sullivan of the Mississippi Supreme Court shortly after graduation.[2]
