Melanie Cradle is a judge on the Connecticut Court of Appeals. She was appointed to the court on July 20, 2020, by Gov. Ned Lamont (D) to replace Robert J. Devlin, Jr., who reached the mandatory retirement age in April 2020.[1]
Cradle was a judge for the New Haven District Superior Court in Connecticut from 2013 to 2020.[2] She was appointed to the New Haven District Superior Court in 2013 by Governor Dannel P. Malloy and confirmed by the legislature on March 6, 2013. [3]
Education
Cradle earned an undergraduate degree from Adelphi University. She attended graduate school at Trinity College but did not earn a degree. She was awarded a J.D. from Seton Hall University, School of Law in 1999.[4]
