Hawaii Circuit Court 2

The Maui Second Circuit Court is one of 4 circuit courts in Hawaii. It is a trial court of general jurisdiction in criminal and civil cases. It also has exclusive jurisdiction in probate, guardianship and criminal felony cases, and civil cases regarding amounts over $25,000.

Circuit Courts share concurrent jurisdiction with District Courts in civil non-jury cases in which the amounts in controversy are between $10,000 and $25,000. Other cases heard by the Circuit Courts include mechanics' liens and misdemeanor violations transferred from the District Courts for jury trials.[1]
