Lester Williamson is a judge for the Tenth Judicial District of Mississippi.[1] He was appointed in February 2006 by Governor Haley Barbour. He was elected to the position in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 for a term that expired in 2014.[2][3] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins in 2015 and will expire in 2018.[4][5]

Education
Williamson received an undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, going on to earn his J.D. there as well.[2]
Career
Prior to his judicial appointment in 2006, Williamson served as municipal judge for the City of Meridian. He was appointed judge pro tempore from 1985 to 1989 and became a full judge in 1989, a post he held until 2006. Williamson also worked as a partner in the law firm of Wright & Williamson.[2]
