Larry J. Nelson is a judge of the Leelanau County Probate Court in Michigan. He was elected in 2010 and his term expired on January 1, 2019.[1]
Education
Nelson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1969 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo Law School in 1974.[2]
Career
Nelson has spent his legal career in the public sector and the private practice of law. He has served as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for both Oakland and Leelanau counties, in addition to working in private practice for over thirty years.[2]
Elections
2012 election
Nelson was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[3] [4][5]
2010 election
Nelson was elected to the Probate Court in 2010. He defeated Marian F. Kromkowski with 51.4% of the vote in the general election on November 2, 2010.[1][6]
