Approach to the law
My individualism and idealism has led to me being labeled a bully, bulldog, and stubborn, but my integrity, character, ethics, and professionalism have no price. I understand that, if elected, I may at times have to make decisions according to law I do not agree with and hard decisions that do not appeal to me as fair, but the law is the law and it is the responsibility of others to make it and change it. Otherwise, I would lack the credibility and integrity to preside over those that come before me seeking “fair and impartial” justice.
Career
Turney has been both a criminal prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney as a solo practitioner.[2]
