Education
Klein received his B.A. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1979. He also completed two years of work towards his Master's degree in Public Policy Analysis there. Career
Klein began his career in 1988 as a private practice lawyer in Denver, Colorado. He then became an Assistant Attorney General in July of 1991, specializing in workers' compensation and unemployment insurance related cases. In 1994, he became a Prehearing Administrative Law Judge in the Dispute Resolution Unit of the Colorado Dept. of Labor and Employment - Division of Workers' Compensation. He held this position until September of 2002, when he became an Administrative Law Judge in the Workers' Compensation Unit of the Colorado Department of Personnel and Administration. He was then appointed District Judge in 2005 where he served until 2012.[1]
