Hugh M. Flanagan was a judge on the District Court in Marshall County, Alabama. He was appointed by Governor Robert Bentley in March 2011 and his term expired in 2012.

2012 election

Flanagan was defeated by Mitchell S. Floyd in the Republican primary on March 13, receiving 35.06% of the vote.
