Hugh D. Hayes is a Collier County judge of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Bob Graham in 1982 and was re-elected in 2008 and 2014.[1][2][3] His current six-year term expires on January 4, 2021.[4]

Hayes ran for re-election to the Twentieth Circuit Court.
As an unopposed candidate, he was automatically re-elected without appearing on the ballot. [3] 

Education

Hayes received his B.A. degree from the University of Georgia in 1970 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida in 1972.[1]

Career

Hayes began his career in 1973 as a civil trial attorney and as general counsel for the Collier County School Board. In 1978, he was appointed to the Collier County Court, where he served until his elevation to the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in 1982.[1][5]
