Gloria Deathridge is the former District 1 incumbent on the Knox County school board in Tennessee, where she is also serving as board vice chair. She ran against challengers Robert Boyd and Marshall Walker in the primary election on May 6, 2014 and won, along with Walker. She defeated Walker in the general election on August 7, 2014. Deathridge did not file to run for re-election in 2018.

Gloria Deathridge ran against challengers Robert Boyd and Marshall Walker for election on May 6, 2014 for the District 1 seat. Since no candidate received 50 percent "plus one" of the vote, Deathridge and Walker advanced to the general election on August 7, 2014. Deathridge defeated Walker in that race.
