Roper ran against Ali Vanessa, Datt Neeta, Anne Kaiser (incumbent), Jodi Finkelstein, Eric Luedtke, Robert Newsome and Craig Zucker in the September 14 primary, but did not place in the top three. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[1]
