The Iowa Democratic Party is the Iowa political party affiliate of the national Democratic Party. The group is headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa.

The party is composed of a governing body called the State Central Committee and a chairman is elected to lead.[1]

Rita Hart was elected as chair in 2023. She represented District 49 in the Iowa State Senate from 2013 to 2019.[2]
