David Koch was a retired American businessman. He financially supported a variety of policy and political causes. On June 5, 2018, Koch announced he was stepping down from his business positions and political activities, citing health reasons. He was the executive vice president and board member of Koch Industries, Inc. Both Koch and his brother, Charles Koch, supported candidates, policies and campaigns associated with the Republican and Libertarian parties throughout their careers.[2]
Koch died on August 23, 2019, at the age of 79.[3]
Political contributions
Although much of the Koch brothers' political giving was through their extensive network of policy-based organizations, other direct donations include: $32,400 to the National Republican Congressional Committee, $5,200 to Tim Walberg (R-MI), $5,200 to Tom Cotton (R-AR) and $5,200 to Scott Brown (R-NH).[4]
