Charles Schneider (Republican Party) was a member of the Iowa State Senate, representing District 22. Schneider assumed office on January 14, 2013. Schneider left office on January 2, 2021.
Schneider (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Iowa State Senate to represent District 22. Schneider won in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Schneider served as the state Senate president from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, he served as the majority whip in the Senate Republican caucus.[1][2]
Before his election to the Iowa State Senate, Schneider served on the West Des Moines City Council from 2007 to 2012.[3]
Biography
Cullerton earned a bachelor's degree from Creighton University and an M.B.A. and J.D. from the University of Iowa. His professional experience includes working as an attorney at Principal Financial Group and with Dickinson Mackaman Tyler & Hagen.[3][4]

2012
Schneider won election in the December 11, 2012 special election for Iowa State Senate District 22. The special election was called to replace incumbent Pat Ward (R) who died of cancer on October 15. Schneider defeated Desmund Adams (D) in the special election.[9][10][11]
