Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014.
General: He faced Stephen Bouchard in the general election on November 4, 2014. 

Education

Manansala received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. He went on to earn his J.D. from Washburn University of Topeka in 1985.

Career

Manansala is an assistant public defender in the Jefferson County Public Defender's Office. He has also served as district defender in Hillsboro and Columbia, MO. He has spent over 20 years as a criminal defense attorney, and has also worked in private practice.
