Andrew Bailey is a decorated combat veteran, father of four, prosecutor, and constitutional conservative who fights for the people of Missouri every day as the 44th Attorney General of Missouri.
Bailey attended college on an Army scholarship. Following the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States, Bailey was commissioned as an officer in the Army and took the Oath to defend our Constitution. For his service, Bailey was awarded two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Commendation Medal, a Combat Action Badge, and two Bronze Star Medals.
Following the honor of wearing the uniform to serve our nation, Bailey attended law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and became a prosecutor to fight violent crime and protect Missouri communities. Bailey served as an Assistant Attorney General, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and as General Counsel for the Missouri Department of Corrections. In 2019, Bailey joined the Governor’s Office as Deputy Counsel, then served as General Counsel. Bailey has handled countless cases in both state and federal courts throughout his career, defending our constitutional freedoms and the most vulnerable while delivering justice for victims.
It was in the courtroom where Bailey saw countless Missouri children in need of a caring, loving home. Those experiences motivated Bailey and his wife, Jessica, to become foster parents. They are now blessed with four beautiful children ranging from 6 months to 10 years old, and reside in Montgomery County.
From the battlefield to the courtroom, Attorney General Bailey continues today to defend our freedoms, never backing down from a fight to defend our Constitution, because he took an oath to defend the Constitution, was willing to put his life on the line to do it, and will never abandon that commitment.
