Fire Lady[]

Stop putting that Ursa was Fire Lady. She was banished before being crowned Fire Lady, so she never had that title, when Zuko said who he was in "Zuko Alone", he said he was son of Fire Lord Ozai and Princess Ursa, not Fire Lord Ozai and Fire Lady Ursa. 189.60.128.227 21:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Actually, she wore the royal crown. It's implied she was, in fact, a fire lady.
>Technically he said "I am Zuko, son of Ursa and Fire Lord Ozai." That may just be a reference to the fact she no longer held any title. But you're right, she was never Fire Lady; only a princess. So why don't we just call her URSA? :D

firebender?[]

in the trailer we see a woman with blue flames behind her that greatly resembles ursa!!!

Maybe cause that's Ursa's daughter? Azula? The one Firebender in the show who uses blue fire? Omnibender 20:38, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

it doesn't look anything like azula . and the woman seems alot older

It looks like Azula, she just has her hair down. And please, sign your comments with four tildes (~). Omnibender 21:09, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

You are so right, Omnibender. It is Azula! This is just the first time we've seen her with her hair down. It is also the first time we've seen her look so mad. Besides, that can't be Ursa. Ursa is way too pretty. Cari1994 21:24, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Azula's hair isn't that long24.189.153.102 21:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

How would you know, you moron? Like I said, this is the first time we've seen her with her hair down. It could be that long. Cari1994 21:28, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

This subject has been debated extensively elsewhere, and most fans believe it is Azula. At any rate, the only thing we should be concerned about is whether this info should go on Ursa or Azula's pages, and considering we know almost nothing about the blue-flames woman, if we put it down anywhere it would amount to useless, baseless speculation. Let's leave this subject alone until the finale.Puragus 21:38, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

We've seen Azula with her hair down. Remember The Awakening when she Zuko confronted her in her bedroom? Her hair was in a pony-tail, and it was fairly long. We get to see her hair down completely down in Nightmares and Daydreams, when she's having her haid washed and combed, her hair is very long. Image: [1] See? Omnibender 21:50, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

What I meant was that we've never seen her hair down dry. Plus, she didn't have her hair down in "The Awakening". She had it in a ponytail. Having your hair in a ponytail is not having it down. Cari1994 22:10, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Being dry or wet doesn't alter the length of your hair, just its volume, and the pony-tail, unlike her usual bun, shows us how long her hair really is, to the point we can clearly see that is long. Omnibender 22:19, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

the face is clearly different than azula and the bangs are hanging down the middle and azula has hers on the side http://generalyin.deviantart.com/art/Avatar-Ursa-Or-not-Ursa-8366246024.189.153.102 23:42, 11 May 2008 (UTC

If you see the trailer you'll notice that her face moves vertically, when she does, the angle shows you can clearly see that her face is thinner than Ursa's. Omnibender 00:25, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

but it looks like ursa24.189.153.102 20:43, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Ty Lee looks like an Air Nomad but she's not one. Piandao is tanned like someone from the Water Tribe yet he's Fire Nation. I can go on. Omnibender 00:10, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

ursa is freom the fire nation and so is azula, duh 24.189.153.102 17:22, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

So by your logic that person can be every Fire Nation woman ever shown on screen... OMG... it's Ming!!! Omnibender 22:40, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

what im saying is that they have a mother-daughter resemblance and it is hard to tell24.189.153.102 16:51, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Ursa and Azula looking alike is one thing, saying she's the one in that scene is a completely different thing. Omnibender 22:18, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Azula and Ursa are only physical twins. They are also related. Ursa could be a firebender. Who knows? User:Jall

Ursa could possibly be a firebender, and could possibly bend white fire. White fire is awesome!!!

Speculatively interesting, canonically meaningless. Omnibender 23:30, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

i saw a newer trailer w/azula (hair down) and bending lightning 24.189.153.102 19:50, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Where is Ursa?[]

Is there ANY hope of seeing this issue addressed in the future? Ursa's disappearance was a major plot element and it was implied in season three that she may still be alive. They can't just disregard this issue. Heck, they wanted to put this scene in the original finale storyboard! Is there ANY indication that this issue will be given proper closure in the future in the form of a mini episode, comic, ANYTHING? Somebody, give me a sign! (If I sound obsessed, my bad)Fire Eater 21:57, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

I think from fanart that she is in the earthkingdom--AvatarMaster 15:55, 18 April 2009 (UTC).

Forums is where this stuff should be kept. This is my second day on this wiki and I know that. Looooooong Cat - Talk 16:00, 18 April 2009 (UTC) what the heck are you talking about

Heir and Firelady?[]

Even though it does say 'Former Husband' On her page, if Ursa and Ozai never went through a formal divorce as she was banished quickly, it would mean legally Ursa and Ozai are still married. And saying, without any knoledge of ATLA inheritance systems, wouldn't of Ursa come back as Firelady and ruler of the throne? Even though Ozai was overthrown? --Maiko-Is-Forever 07:28, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Ursa is not part of the royal family by birth. She cannot legally inherit the throne, or exercise a Fire Lord's powers. This is the same situation as in real life. 888th Avatar - Talk - Contributions 08:39, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

She married to Ozai while he was still a Prince, after Azulon died, she was banished, not only would that properly sever ties with the royal family, but it also prevented her from being crowned Fire Lady. When Zuko revealed who he was in Zuko Alone, he said he was the son of Fire Lord Ozai and Princess Ursa, not Fire Lady Ursa. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 16:27, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

(----) What's with this talk about zuko saying princess ursa, he only said ursa!!!

allies/enemys[]

azula should she be in here? User:Luvingazula 21:21, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

In my opinion, no. Their relationship is too complicated to simply shoehorn Azula in as an "Ally" or an "Enemy". It's more complex and emotional than that.Puragus Talk 21:25, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

good answer. ursa loves her but azula can't see that User:Luvingazula 21:26, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Did the creators say...[]

... in the audio commentary for Zuko Alone that Ursa favored Zuko ?

Ursa loved her children equally as the mirror scene in the finale showed.

Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 23:15, April 13, 2010 (UTC)kaizen

Not at as far as we're concerned. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:20, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

I think Ursa loves her two children.

Zuko restoring Ursa's title...[]

Easily,he can after he became Fire Lord.

On another subject,Ursa didn't think of Azula as a monster.she was concerned about her but couldn't help her because of Ozai. She would think her daughter was confused according to the mirror scene. Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 04:23, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

The mirror scene isn't real, just Azula's crazy imagination. It was a hallucination. We don't ever really know what Ursa truly thinks of Azula. Only in the episode Zuko alone she say's at one point after Azula is being particularily cruel, "What is wrong with that child..." But, yeah....

Dead (Discussion)[]

I think that Ursa is dead:

Ozai: I should count myself lucky. The new Fire Lord has graced me with his presence in my lonely prison cell.
Zuko: You should count yourself lucky that the Avatar spared your life. Banishing me was the best thing you could have done for my life. It put me on the right path. Perhaps your time in here can do the same for you.
Ozai: Why are you really here‌?
Zuko: Because you are gong to tell me something. Where is my mother?‌
Ozai: So you finally realized it, huh? Well okay, I'll tell you. Your mother was sent to the Ba Sing Se, but according to my spies, she died on a way there.
Zuko: You-you MONSTER!! (Blasts fire at Ozai, but suddenly takes fire back) No. If I'm going to burn your face then I'm going to be like you. (Walks outside) AND I'm never going to be like YOU.

I mean this means there's nothing to be resolved! And in hope of finding his mother Zuko decided to celebrate at Ba Sing Se, but never found her. I know that this story is sad, with bad and unfair ending for Ursa, but the writers had to come up with anything so the Avatar: The Last Airbender is complete, and I came up with this. And now there's balance in the end - Sad (Because of Ursa-plot) but happy and right (Because of Kataang- and End of The War-plot) ending! What do you think? SpongeWriter123 (talkcontribs) 09:16, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Those last lines were never said in the series. Based on the actual series, we don't know is she's dead or not. --I'm The Bos - Got something to say? - Read Guardian! 13:38, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
Those last lines are GUESSED by me. And I think Ursa's dead. SpongeWriter123 (talkcontribs) 16:23, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
If you think that she's dead, then you can create anything you want to believe. But the facts are this: Her fate is unconfirmed. We don't know what happens to her. So don't even change the page to say that she's dead. If you think that, write a fanon about it. --I'm The Bos - Got something to say? - Read Guardian! 16:40, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
I'm not going to edit page nor write a fanon. You could be a little less rude. I don't think I'm ever going to be an editor here. SpongeWriter123 (talkcontribs) 19:20, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
It's not that I'm trying to be rude, but it's just that you can have your opinion and I can have mine. Usually when an issue like this is brought to a talk page, it's to discuss a potential change. Since we have no evidence to suggest that she died, then I was trying to make a point not to change the article. I apologize for any offense I might have caused you. --I'm The Bos - Got something to say? - Read Guardian! 20:19, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
I should have surmised that kind of answer. *thinks a moment* Sorry, if I were rude, and I think I should think about that fanon-thing... SpongeWriter123 (talkcontribs) 07:36, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
Give him a break. He didn't know. It's a guess as to what happened, and nothing more. Nick Lewis (talkcontribs) 01:18, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
In The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse, Ozai revealed that Ursa was banished and didn't kill her.
Ozai: Your Mother did vicious, treasonous things that night. She knew the consequences and accepted them. For her treason, she was banished.
Zuko: So she’s alive
Ozai: Perhaps. Now I realize that banishment is far too merciful a penalty for treason. Your penalty will be far steeper.
Ozai wanted to depress Zuko. Zuko began searching for his mother after he became Fire Lord and found her at some point before going to Ba Sing Se.Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 00:24, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
Créators tell us that Zuko find his mother, after the show (between his last conversation with Ozai, and Iroh's tea shop...). But they find this part was too much, so they take of this part. So, Ursa is alive. Then what? Lady Ursa can't change a lot of things: Azula is always in an Asylum, and Ozai is in jail without Firebending. Zuko's family is destroyed, now. Ursa's return is too late.
Mike and Bryan said in Sozin's Comet interview that Azula might have a chance to heal. Ursa may heal Azula but certainly she won't forgive Ozai for what he did to their children. Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 21:28, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Azula can heal. But she loves her Father. I don't think she can reject him. And Ursa left her, as she was a child. So, their relationship are nearly destroyed.
Azula can't serve or love her brother. It's impossible : because of Zuko, her father, her hero, is weak and nearly dead. Ozai is stripped if any power. Azula can't forgive that to Zuko or the Avatar.
No, this family is destroyed.
Azula can't forgive Ozai because he abused her emotionally and abandoned her. She may forgive Ursa,Zuko, Aang and her friends but not Ozai.Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 23:56, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

Ursa and the truth about Ozai[]

Ursa wasn't aware of how really evil Ozai was when she was banished, and let their children to be raised by him.Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 23:06, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Where's your evidence to support that claim? Nick Lewis (talkcontribs) 01:18, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
If Ursa knew Ozai was a threat to Zuko like Azulon, she would end him instead of giving him the throne. Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 00:04, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps Ozai changes his mind because of Ursa. After all, why did she have to leave her country? She killed Azulon, but her Husband was the new Firelord... Ozai can protect her... There's a real mystery here.
Perhaps Ozai thinks Ursa betrayes him and loves her son instead of him...
If Ozai was really his father's loyal servant, he could've warned him but he let Ursa kill Azulon. So he conspired with her and deserved banishment. If Ozai killed Zuko, Azulon wouldn't give him the throne because killing Zuko was a punishment for asking to revoke Iroh's birthright. Ursa could've killed Azulon without telling no one and let Iroh accuse Ozai of what happened, but she told Ozai and forged a will so he would become Fire Lord because she cared about him and knew what he wanted. If Ozai wanted to kill Zuko, he would immediately after her banishment.Kaizen1 (talkcontribs) 21:43, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
