Qacha is a swordswoman from Bhanti Island. After her younger sister, Erdene, developed airbending abilities following the Harmonic Convergence of 171 AG, Qacha's mother sent her to keep watch over Erdene as she traveled to Republic City to learn from the members of the Air Nation.[1]

History[]

Qacha lived with her mother and younger sister Erdene in a peaceful and pleasant home on Bhanti Island. Qacha fluctuated between finding her home peaceful and finding it too boring.

When Erdene became an airbender, the younger girl immediately wanted to set out from the island, and Qacha watched with conflicted feelings — she was happy for her younger sister, worried that Erdene was rushing headlong into the dangerous greater world, grateful that she had not turned out to be an airbender herself, and jealous that she did not have the same chance as Erdene.

Qacha put all those complicated feelings aside when her mother made her promise to stay with Erdene and keep her younger sister safe. She hated leaving her mother behind, but she agreed, knowing she would be well taken care of by the rest of the island, and that it was what her mother really wanted. When they arrived in Republic City, Qacha did her best to keep Erdene out of trouble — and she did not have much time to focus on herself, what she wanted, and who she wanted to be in the wider world.[1]

Qacha and Erdene met Bolin on a team where they protected a train depot from saboteurs, where they worked together with Thi, Meeka, and Dae to resolve the situation. After this incident, Bolin asked to meet the five again for a quick noodle lunch at Dancing Dan's Noodles near the Varrimovers International Studio. He explained that the production of new mover Sengo: Lady of the Winds was having problems, and that he suspected that benders were endangering the set. Being busy as President Zhu Li Moon's personal assistant, Bolin asked the team if they could do him a favor by handling security for the mover production.[2]

Personality[]

Qacha is polite, but also self-sacrificing and stubborn. Since Erdene became an airbender and the sisters left Bhanti Island, Qacha had complicated feelings about what she wanted to be and do in the wider world.[1]

Abilities[]

Qacha is able to wield a sword, and usually carries her father's massive broadsword in a cloth wrapping on her back.[1]
