Gong was a Domestic Forces general who served as the head of security for the Fire Nation Capital's Harbor City by Fire Lord Ozai's early reign.
History[]
Gong was born and raised in the capital's Harbor City around 55 AG. She joined the Fire Nation military, and rose in the ranks of the Domestic Forces through hard work. Gong eventually married a man with whom she had five children, adoring them utterly. By 95 AG, she had risen to general and headed Harbor City's guards, serving with pride. Despite having grown wealthy enough to relocate her home to the capital's more prestigous Hari Bulkan, Gong preferred to stay in Harbor City, feeling a deep connection to her birthplace.
Following the death of Fire Lord Azulon, Gong was involved in securing Harbor City for the festivities surrounding Fire Lord Ozai's coronation.[1] At the time, the officer also decided to free Xaipan, the last member of a family of earth dancers who had been brought to the Fire Nation as de facto prisoners to entertain the nobility. Even though she was responsible for keeping Xaipan locked away, Gong allowed the young girl to slip away.[2]
Personality[]
Gong was a family person, deeply loving her husband and children. She would always put their interests first, even if this would clash with the expectations of others including her superiors. However, she was also proud to serve as head of security in Harbor City, feeling that her job was important in keeping civilians safe. In general, keeping order and providing a safe environment to others was one of her foremost concerns.[1]
