Gajii was a member of Republic City's Utilities Commission, and an old friend of Wakkanai.[1]
History[]
Gajii was a friend and comrade of Wakkanai who held the right to Republic City's water treatment facility. As a member of the Utilities Commission, Gajii never accepted graft or bribery.[1] Her long-standing relationship with the owner of the facility meant that San Ho did not even try to persuade her to support him when he made a move to try and have Wakkanai's rights removed.[2]
As a friend of Wakkanai, she was not seen as objective when it began to be debated if Wakkanai should keep the rights to the facility after there were reports of dangerous incidents. While she did not recuse herself and was not challenged to do so, she knew it was only a matter of time before San Ho tried to win the issue by forcing her recusal, so she pushed hard for the vote to happen sooner rather than later.[1] She was open to receiving questions about the issue from the public in her office at City Hall. Gajii also managed to investigate the San Ho Consortium and found its address at a series of warehouses on the Republic City docks, but did not push further, as her own aides informed her that the area was heavily patrolled by the Terra Triad.[3]
Personality[]
Gajii was a patriotic bureaucrat, and wanted to see Republic City's resources and needs kept in good hands.[1]
