24/7 coffee shop Bennu Coffee is expanding with its third location in Highland. It will be found as part of the new mixed-use development, Fivetwo, taking over the old Highland Mall at Airport Boulevard and Jacob Fontaine Lane. It’s set to open either in late 2019 or early 2020.

This third Bennu will be larger than the other two cafes. However, it will operate much like the other two: serving coffee from Texas Coffee Traders, French press, cold-brew, grab-and-go snacks, food, and pastries. Expect items from places like Taco Mex, the Green Cart, Celeste’s Best, Tamale Addiction, and Russell’s Bakery, and others.

The new Bennu space is being designed by Jordan Michael Designs.

Bennu owners Steve and Stephanie Williams opened the original Bennu on East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in 2009. They took over what had been Dominican Joe Coffee Shop on South Congress into their second shop in 2017.
