Cosme’s Enrique Olvera Plans a One-Night-Only Dinner in Austin

The superstar Mexican chef is bringing his corn-husk meringue to town

Enrique Olvera, the acclaimed fine dining Mexican chef, is coming to Austin. The occasion? He’s cooking up dinner at the classic interior Mexican restaurant Fonda San Miguel. The Allandale meal will take place on Wednesday, April 26, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Olvera currently oversees the award-winning Pujol in Mexico City, which recently relocated and renovated. In New York, he has Cosme, considered one of the best restaurants in the country and newcomer Mexican neighborhood spot Atla in Brooklyn.

The dinner will include mussels, short ribs, and the chef’s stunning meringue. Everything will be paired with wines from Fonda San Miguel. The full menu follows below. Tickets are $189 per person and are available in limited quantities.

This isn’t the first time Olvera popped into Austin for such an occasion. He teamed up with Paul Qui for a SXSW SouthBites dinner in 2016.
