Let's talk about this shawarma spice recipe. It's warm, it's flavorful, it's not too spicy and it's authentically Lebanese. Shawarma is a traditional Middle Eastern street food that is super delish! Usually chicken, beef or lamb is covered in a shawarma marinade and then grilled on a turning spit, the meat is shaved off thinly and is served over in fresh pita bread and yummy toppings.

One thing that I really LOVE about making my own spice mixes and blends, is that I can control the outcome. If I want it more spicy, all I need to do is add some more cayenne pepper powder, or vice versa if you don't care for the kick.
This recipe is so easy also, and it will last you a long time!! Forget buying the expensive blend at the store, just make your own and pull it out whenever you feel like having something Middle Eastern.
