New releases...loving it.
Oh my ... now it's really good to be a scrapbooker .... one amazing release after another pops up everywhere in the world of scrapbooking....... and so much DELICIOUS stuff.
I'm so looking forward to when all this is up in the stores.
Shimmerz have a big release today ... Just look at this.
Prima is my all time high when it comes to AMAZING flowers, bling, paper and stamps...and once again they have created a fantastic range of products. It's impossible to not LOVE Prima.
I'm so lucky that I allready have had the chance to play with these products
Here are two of my layouts.
On this I've used several of Primas new clear stamps. I've stamped on bazzill and the cut them out. The oval one I've cut out the hole pattern. I've put glue all over it and then scattered the glitter on. Finally, I put on a few bling.
I just love the Baroque style it has.
The Prima flowers this season is to die for, especially the roses

Another year has gone.....
Another year has passed, and a new year is coming with all its possibilities.
Now I'm looking back on the year thats almost at it's end, and not at least I'm putting down some goals for the new year.
I know this sounds a bit like a cliché, and I also know that less than one out of five are able to achieve their goals. I hope I will be one of the 20% who actually can do this successfully.
Before I start on my targets for 2010 I see that the main goal of my life for the next year is Clean-up and Change .... Without a proper "clean-up" both physically and in my activities, there will be no change.
I feel like I constantly have a bad conscience for everything and everyone, and it eats up all my energy. Much has happened this year, both ups and downs without me going further into that here. The most important things in my life are my family, my job and actually scrapbooking - because through this activity I'm able to preserve our memories and my family's history, and that is very valuable for me
1.
I need to lose weight .... heard it before ??????? Yes I know it's goal No. 1 among almost EVERYONE
But perhaps it's not just in my closet that the clothes are shrinking. I need to feel better about my self and my looks.
I must also begin to take care of my skin ... there are some tiny, tiny lines around my eyes ...they say it's my age?????!!!???
Therefore ....
- 100 days without Coke
- Eat healthy
- Use day and night cream...and maybe more...
2.
I'll be better to update my blog and my aim has to be realistic. Christmas came so fast that I failed to update with more of my Christmas designs .. so here are some pictures of some of the things I made for Prima in December.
Christmas tree decorations ... and yes they hang on my Christmas tree ...this year with ornaments in glass, white and silver.
Christmas decorations elsewhere in the house is in red, glass and white and with a little vintage feel. As this cone ... I love decorating with red flowers for Christmas, like Amaryllis.
.....and yes I know I'm very late in showing these pictureson my blog ... they should have been here at least 3 weeks ago ... Sorry!!!!!
My goal for my blog is therefore
- A new post at least once every week ... bonus if I can do two
3.
I must remember to write down all the amazing things my children say and do .... otherwise I just forget them.
This layout that I made for Prima is an example of just that. My daughter Live often points out that her stomach says both this and that..... she has a "gut feeling" for everything.
A day early in December on our way to kindergarten she said as she pointed to the sky. "Mom, there lives Jesus and all the stars ...... pause .... and agent Ozo".
And this morning she came into my bed and said .... "God has given me many new kisses that I can share, and I'll give them to Daddy".
She is just the world's cutest little girl
Therefore:
.... I'll get myself a little notebook that I can write things down before I go to bed for the night
4.
I will be a positive and encouraging person
It means that I will be better to show that I appreciate those around me, both family and friends.
This layout that I made for Primas BAP in December is an example of this
Lovely, lovely Sharon deserves a layout and I've made this as a gift to her. She is just an incredible person who encourages and inspires me and the other girls on Prima's design team. Although I never met her IRL, she has become a person that matters in my life.
5
the last goal in this round .... CLEAN UP
It seriously needed to be cleaned up all over the house. Clutter and crowded cabinets steals my energy, I need systems and procedures to work properly.
.... therefor:
- Clean up and sort my craft room
- Clean up and sort in cabinets and drawers in the kitchen
- sort in closets, especially the children's
The rest of the house will hopefully be done after this
When I now see on my list it is both long, imperfect (yes I could put up quite a bit) and possible to do .... LOL ...
Consolation is that I do not think I'm alone in creating goals for the new year, nor that I am alone in feeling these things .... or what say you ??????
Thanks for visiting me, and reading all this....
I wish you all a HAPPY NEW (creative) YEAR :-)

Christmas time is here
This is defenetly my favorite time of year. I LOVE Christmas, even if it's busy busy busy, filled up wiht lots of fun and joyfull things.
We have started December with a sick boy on the couch, and tomorrow it's my turn to be home from work taking care of him. Maybe we get the chance to do some Christmas activities together....thats one good thing with being home from work.
With sick children, it's not easy to get done all that I had planned to do, but I have managed to do a little Christmas shopping yesterday evening, and today after work......I'm actually almost done, only the most important left.
Please stop by Primas blog this week for some fun Christmas inspiration from det girls in the design team.
Here is one of my projects for Prima this week
some of the products I've used is Holiday Lights ornaments and a Baroque Blooms flower.

Do you want a Christmas gift....
I was so inspired by Carrin's blogcandy that I wanted to do something similar.
I want to give away something that hopefully can make another person happy this Christmas. This is not an Advent calendar, but a gift or a"Christmas stocking/cone" for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (your choice). I have made the cone myself and I've filled it up with lots of goodies like products from Prima, some vintage stuff and lots more.
In order to participate in the draw you must
- comment on this post
- be a follower of my blog
- and make a post about my blogcandy in your own blog
Deadline for this draw is November 29th.
(It will go in the mail the following day)
Open worldwide :-)

I'm of to Oslo..
Today I'm of to Oslo, visiting my friend Kristin. So looking forward to spend time with good friends, talk, laugh, eat, shop at the scrappbooking event and more. I need this more than ever...and some of you know why. It has been some difficult weeks latley but I'm still standing STRONG. It's all going okay when you have family and good friends that are thinking of and praying for you....and I'm so thankful for that.
One friend (that I don't meet very often) is Carrin, and she is one of a kind.
Just check out her blogcandy.....OMG...isn't she the most kind person ever...
Carrin is giving away this wonderful Advent calendar.
I hope and pray that you all will have a nice weekend.

"While we are waiting for Christmas"
"While we are waiting", a little book for Advent and Christmas.
This is the book that I teached at Papirfest. There were 35 participants and it was the first time I teached for so many at once..... and it went surprisingly well.....lol.. . Sponsor to this clas was Papirdesign, Kort&Godt and Fretex.
I've used the covers and some of the pages from an old book, paper from Papirdesigns beautiful Christmas collection, and embellishment such as laces and roses from Kort&Godt.
Here are the pages from the book.
To get the tags looking old I have used really strong coffe. Put them in for just a few seconds and let them dry. Do it over again if you want a darker color.
I have various activities and subjects that are my family's Christmas tradition as headings in the book. Christmas cards, wish lists for christmas, The St.Lucia celebration, Decorating our Christmas tree , Christmas eve etc, etc. .. there should be room to put in pictures and writeups from what one might desire. I hope that this will be a good memory to look back on later in life, not only for my family, but also for all those who made this book in my clas.
Here I have made a little pocket to put in some of my tresured Christmas recipes
Some of my favorite Christmas carols

God Jul
This is my Christmas layout that I teached a class with at Papirfest almost two weeks ago.
It was sponsored by Papirdesign and Kort&Godt with beautiful paper and embellishment.
Thanks to all that attended this class, it was really fun doing this with you all.
To get started on this layout I used a fantastic sketch from Pencil Lines. I just love the circles on this sketch.
And here are some detailed pictures of it.

I'm soooooooooo honored....
Thanks Anna and Pencil Lines that you asked me to be your guestdesigner this Sunday. I'm just so honored to do this, and the sketch was totally amazing. Loved working with it.
Here is my solution on the sketch.
And it was so fun to work with some colors on this, and a diferent style than the vintage style.
I have used papers from TPC studios and lots of flowers and pearls from Prima
I have handstiched on the edges

A Class For A Cause
One can't do everything, but everone can do something and my Prima dt-sister Iris, who lives in The Philippines are doing her little thing to help others, and you can join her....and as a bonus you will be able to participate in an online clas with the TALENTED Iris.
This is what Iris said:
You must have heard about the storm that has ravaged several asian countries. It was the worst tropical depression. Worse even than Huricane Katrina. Our country, The Philippines was not spared. Hundreds were killed and thousands are left homeless. After a week, several cities are still knee deep or even higher in water. Families are cramped in evacuation centers and there is so much help needed.
She is offering an on-line class on her blog in which all proceeds will go to the victims of the storm. It's only $5 and it's a layout on fabric and it's filled with LOTS OF PRIMA FLOWERS! Thanks for your support.

I'm a bad blogger
Yes I know, I've been a really bad blogger lately. But as you all would have said in my position life is just so busy and then my blog is last on the to-do-list.
There's a lot happning with both "this" and "that" and I hope that I soon can show and tell you some more.
Some of what I've been working on lately are the projects that I will teach at the Papirfest, and that happens in less than two weeks from now. I'm really nervous about this, but happy with what I have prepared and created. I have used paper from the latest christmas collection from Papirdesign and embellishement from Kort&Godt - two Norwegian scrapbooking manufacturers.
I have also worked on a guest design project for a website I have dreamed for a long time to guest designing for. I feel so honored that they have asked me .... just wait and see.
Since I've had so much time of from my blog, there are several of my layouts I have not shown you, like some of my Prima layouts.
These two layouts I made for Prima for Cha - summer 09
One more layout where I have used the flocked leaves and my paper scraps
.
I have lined up a row of paper strips and then i stitched through them to keep them in place. It's colorful and really fun....and you do get rid of a lot of you paper scraps
I have putted on some Prima hydrangeas, and handstitched the stems.
....and here I have cutted up a hole sheet of that flocked leaf paper to creat this tree. But you could also use a leaf punch and your paper scrap to make this.
at the end I finshed it of with flowers around the tree.....
Thanks for taking time to visit my blog and read this long post.
Tomorow is a new day with a lot of oportunities - I pray that I will be able to see mine.
