The San Francisco 49ers current depth chart for the 2024 season is listed below. The team updates the starters and backups each week due to injuries and players getting promoted or demoted in playing time.
Week 10 49ers depth chart update
The 49ers acquired defensive tackle Khalil Davis from the Houston Texans for a seventh round pick. He provides depth behind Maliek Collins and Jordan Elliott. The 49ers released linebacker Jalen Graham to make room for Davis.
On Monday, the team returned from their bye week and had several injured players back at practice. That group included running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Jauan Jennings, offensive lineman Jon Feliciano, and kicker Jake Moody. McCaffrey and Feliciano are on injured reserve but eligible to return. Jennings and Moody were both limited participants in practice to open the week, which bodes well for their return in Week 10.
On Tuesday afternoon, the 49ers released Anders Carlson from their practice squad, which suggests Moody is set to return in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Game result: The 49ers welcomed back McCaffrey and Moody to the roster and both played in starting roles. McCaffrey did not have any setbacks, while Moody dealt with some serious rust in missing three of his field goal attempts.

Week 8 49ers depth chart update
The team was without wide receiver Jauan Jennings in Week 8 and saw running back Jordan Mason injure his left shoulder during the game. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel left the game as well with a rib injury. Chris Conley saw the biggest increase in playing time with Jennings absent. Isaac Guerendo saw the biggest increase in playing time after Mason left the game.
Looking ahead to Week 9, the 49ers head into their bye, which will give injured players time to get healthier. They hope to have running back Christian McCaffrey back in the starting lineup in November.
