Hi Boston! Welcome to Lomography Magazine. What were your first impressions of the new Lomo'Instant Wide Glass

The lens is large, and the design is really cool. The previous wide versions of instant cameras had a rounder, cuter look, but the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass definitely looks more stylish and sleek.

How is the experience of using this camera different from other instant cameras you have used?

The shutter button is a lever, and pressing it feels quite satisfying.

Did you make use of the close focusing distance 0.3 m? What did you think of this feature?

Yes, I did. The exposure was spot on, and you can get really close for portraits. However, you need to pay extra attention to adjusting the focus.

What did you decide to shoot with this camera and why?

I used the camera during my creative shoots and found that it performed best when shooting indoors during the day.

What did you think of the results? Did they surprise you in any way?

I was pleasantly surprised! It’s rare to see an instant camera with such a large aperture in the wide format. The focus was also very precise. The most surprising thing was the warm tones and rich colors, which I think are due to the lens coating.

Describe the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass in three words.

Stylish, classic, creative.

Any tips for other people wanting to try out the Lomo’Instant Wide Glass?

Be bold in your creativity! But keep in mind that technique matters. Make sure to measure the distance and adjust the settings before shooting. When shooting at 30cm, prepare your model in advance because the flash can be too bright at that close distance and might make them blink. Also, when shooting portraits indoors, try to keep the subject close to the background.
