Hong Kong – Full Time

Lomography is seeking a talented and experienced Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take charge of projects from concept to completion, including design, development, and execution. You will also collaborate closely with suppliers from China and other international locations to bring your creative visions to life. This is a multifaceted role that combines design expertise with project management and supplier coordination, ideal for a designer who thrives on seeing their concepts through to tangible results.

Originally established in 1992 by a group of offbeat students as an arts movement, but fuelled by fiery passion and burning curiosity, the Lomographic Society soon grew into an international venture.

Our snapshots are characterized by vibrant colours, surprise effects and pure spontaneity. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the ideation, creation, and development of fashion-related projects aligned with Lomography’s brand identity and values.
  • Create sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes to convey design concepts effectively.
  • Manage end-to-end project timelines, ensuring milestones are met while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor progress and troubleshoot issues to maintain project integrity and deadlines.
  • Source and manage relationships with suppliers, primarily in China and other global locations.
  • Ensure material quality, production timelines, and cost-efficiency meet project requirements.
  • Conduct regular communication and visits with suppliers to ensure smooth operations and alignment on deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin) and English
  • Experience in project management and production (fashion industry specifically with bags and apparel)
  • Experience working with international suppliers, especially China.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and technical garment construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and compliance is an advantage

  • Passion for photography and creative arts.
  • Strong understanding of Lomography’s brand and a desire to integrate it into designs.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, international environment.
