I shoot mostly Weddings and Events, as well as studio portait type stuff.
I know that with the recent FAA regulations....when they eventually become effective I'll have to get licensed, and there is a possibility of being investigated by the FAA for using it for commercial purposes prior to that.
However, I really believe this can be the thing that sets me apart...
I've not used the camera yet. I thought I'd get used to controlling the thing first. First impressions? You shouldn't let geeks write instructions. What may seem obvious to you, may seem obvious to the people who just want to use it. I'm sure I'll have many questions later.
After being subjected to 40MPH winds for the weekend, at last I was able to take the Vision out and see what it....and I..(!)...might be able to do.. As I mentioned in other postings here, I had prepped myself pretty well by reading and watching the videos on the DJI site...so I felt as ready as I could be. I'll say here that I have had NO...as in ZERO..Radio Control exp...
My DJI Phantom 2 Vision arrived yesterday via UPS...along with the rest of the items I had ordered from Amazon about 5 days before...everything came at once...within about 3 hours, from 3 different vendors...I had a lot of fun opening all of the boxes...! In addition to the Phantom, I had also ordered one of the $200 protective cases, a prop balancer and some prop guards....
After a lot of reading and viewing tons of YouTube clips as well as many 'reviews' of the Vision model of the Phantom QuadCopter, today I took the BIG step and ordered one of these interesting...and expensive, toys for myself. I placed an order with Amazon...they seem to be one of the few places where these are not marked as "Back Ordered"...and in a few days, mine should...
Please note that this Group is for the Phantom TWO....not the Phantom ONE...there are already groups for that one. The ONE model is the quadcopter that mounts the GoPro camera, this groups is for the integrated camera.
