Ziegsturhl
Ziegsturhl was the place where Kain's destiny truly began to unfold. As a human nobleman, he stopped in the town's tavern one night, but was refused a drink by the landlord.

Nachtholm
Nachtholm was located between Ziegsturhl and Steinchencröe. According to Kain, Nachtholm was "typical of Nosgoth peasantry".

Steinchencröe
Kain avoided Steinchencröe during his mortal life; however, as a vampire he felt that his presence "merely added to the stench".

Vasserbünde
Vasserbünde was a large settlement located just to the east of Nupraptor's Retreat. The townspeople regarded Nupraptor as a lunatic, but they appeared to fear his magic.

Coorhagen
Kain described Coorhagen as "the finest city in all of Nosgoth, rich in vanity and conceit". It was Kain's former home.

Uschtenheim
Kain commented that this "quaint pastoral village" was the birthplace of Janos Audron. He also referred to another aspect of the legend surrounding Janos: that he hunted the peasants of the village until his execution.

Avernus
Avernus was a large walled city located north of Willendorf, with a huge cathedral at its centre. When Kain first saw Avernus, it was burning. Azimuth had summoned demons and unleashed them on the city.

Willendorf
Willendorf was the kingdom of King Ottmar, consisting of a large castle and walled city and a big township to the east. The city was wealthy and housed the great Library of Willendorf, but only people of noble birth were allowed through the city gates.

Stahlberg
Stahlberg once housed "some of the most prestigious universities in all of Nosgoth". When Kain reached it, the city had been devastated by the Legions of the Nemesis.
