Kelly Clarkson may have recently snatched up an Encino, CA, property for $8.5 million, but she's still trying to sell her old house in Hendersonville, TN. The Nashville metro mansion had an original price tag of $8.75 million, but—after more than a year on the market without a buyer—it just went down. According to the listing, Kelly is now selling her waterfront home for $7.5 million.
The Voice coach and mom of four might still have a winner on her hands, though: "At that price range, it's [still] a fresh listing," listing agent Jack Miller told Realtor.com, adding that multimillion dollar luxury homes in this area can take years to sell.
On its four-acre lot, the 20,000-square-foot estate boasts a beautiful fountain in front and swimming pool, sand volleyball court, and deepwater dock in back.
Inside, the house has seven bedrooms (including one jaw-dropping master!), eight full bathrooms, and three half baths. Not to mention a movie theater, a kids room with built-in bunkbeds, and even a "cowboy bar" with horse saddle barstools.
"It's a fabulous, luxury lake home," Miller said to Realtor.com in March 2018. "It's amazing. It definitely has Kelly's imprint."
The singer bought the property in 2013 with her husband Brandon Blackstock for $2,860,00 and "completely revamped it," says the site. The reason for selling? Clarkson and Blackstock were reportedly building a new home on their farm near Nashville. Since then, of course, we've learned the couple went West.
"When you come in the front door, it's elegant, it's breathtaking," Miller said. "But then when you come through the formal spaces, it transitions quickly and comfortably to a very livable but still very upscale space. All the rooms are large but not museumlike."
