It was an eventful Emmys night for Melissa Peterman! The actress joined E! for their Countdown to the Emmys coverage before she joined her costar and friend Reba McEntire to walk the red carpet and then present an award. But first, she took a moment to make everything was in order before the celebrities arrived.

Melissa shared a pre-show video, in which she vacuums the red carpet in her full glam, wearing a black gown with a sheer organza overlay by Staud. She went with a dramatic updo for the evening to complete the look she said was inspired by Brigitte Bardot.

In the video, she declares "the red carpet is ready" because "Meryl Streep is on her way!" Melissa's fans showed their appreciation in the comments section with messages like, "You are the funniest thing!❤️" and "There is a reason you have been one of my favorite actresses and humans since I was young! Always bringing the laughs and heart! By the way, you look STUNNING!!✨🙌🏼💋💕" Another fan wrote, "This epic video says more about your incredible heart than your incredible comedy… Thank you for this moment and have SO MUCH FUN tonight! ❤️"

Melissa later changed into a lavender gown when she took the stage with Reba to present the award for outstanding scripted variety series. Her fans on Instagram called her out for the "Best presentation of the night 😁❤️🔥."

Luckily for fans of Melissa Peterman, we'll be seeing much more of her this fall. She's scheduled to star alongside Reba once again in Happy's Place, and she'll reportedly reprise her roll as Brenda Sparks in Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, the new Young Sheldon spinoff.
