AprilAire Whole-House Ventilation

An Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) consistently removes contaminated indoor air containing airborne viruses, odors, radon, tobacco smoke, nitrogen dioxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and volatile organic compounds. It replaces this with fresh outdoor air, contributing to a healthier indoor environment.

The AprilAire ERV utilizes conditioned indoor air to either preheat or precool the incoming outside air, depending on the season. In winter, the cross-flow design of the EnergyMax transfer core enables the incoming outside air to be preheated by the warm stale indoor air being removed from the home. This reduces the energy needed by the heating system to warm the incoming air. In the summer, the outside air is pre-cooled by the stale indoor air being exhausted from the home. Despite the inside air potentially being warm, the outside air is cooled because it is warmer than the indoor air.
